The Red Sand Beach (Kaihalulu, Maui) is located south of Hana Bay. On your left (east), you will pass Alau Street, Keanini Drive and Keawa Place. When you get to Hauoli Road, turn left (east) and follow it to the end where it intersects with Uakea Road.

The red sand beach or Kaihalulu Beach is located on Kaihalulu Bay on Kauiki Head which is a cinder cone (steep conical hill of volcanic matter) south of Hana Bay. This is a small "pocket beach" between two headlands; it is shielded from the open sea by an offshore reef so large waves don't reach the small bay and the water is calm.
